To my idea Montali hasn't developed over time. We were served dishes out of their cooking book which I posess for several years and what I can make myself as least as good. What we got lacked an element of surprise and passion. At the end of our meal we found out that almost all staff, including the host Alberto, already had gone away without even saying goodbye. We could only pay the bill to a junior staff member. Which was quite high for what we had got. So we drive back the long road down the hill with a non-sattisfied feeling. Maybe they had a bad day but to my honest opinion Montali is outdated, overrated and overpriced.
